Dr. Susan French, RN, PHD is an Officer of the Order of Canada and renown for transforming nursing practice, research and teaching in North America. She is a professor emerita the McMaster School of Nursing, where she was director of the school from 1980 to 1990, and she was a pioneer of innovative teaching and problem-based learning. She was pivotal in the creation of the national accreditation system used across Canada and has contributed to the development of undergraduate nursing programs nationally and internationally.
